Psychic Self Defense is the use of specific techniques to strengthen, repair, and hold off the effects of negativity, spiritual attack, and energy theft. While its traditions and methods come from various spiritual systems, these methods are very effective at assisting in the restoration of health and well being. For those who are naturally empathic, right brained, intuitive, or simply in contact with people all the time, it is a set of essential skills and methods to spiritually repair and maintain one's own energies.

We live in society where people have learned to exploit others energetically, believing it to be appropriate. This course will help you stop becoming a victim of energetic exploitation. We will also connect these techniques to modern psychology, sociology, and health and wellbeing, so that psychic hygiene is understood as a necessity of the modern age. This is not the same as restoring "personal power", or "gaining empowerment through awareness." These exercises and techniques are the equivalent of "martial arts" defense training with spiritual energy, and energetically creates the equivalent of "regular exercise at the gym for the physical body" for the energetic body or soul. Power is only one aspect of your spirit; there is more to it, and we will explain it in easy to understand terms that are practical and hands-on.

This course would appeal to those who struggle with being empathic or sensitive, and yet need some practical techniques to strengthen both personal and auric boundaries. Becoming overwhelmed in certain environments, or dealing with certain personality types doing social work, nursing, teaching, customer service, or any kind of people work can put someone at risk of being drained by “energetic vampires.” This course will help one strengthen, recognize and assess situations, and address other personal weaknesses. Anger is one of the best ways to drain energy inappropriately, and managing it as well as other emotions will be covered as part of the course, to assist in developing personal defenses. The emphasis in this course is to develop so that one is able to maintain their own wellbeing energetically.

This is a unique curriculum, designed by me and based on over twenty years of research and experience. It can certainly benefit many. We talk briefly about aspects of paranormal and hauntings, but not too detailed as this is not the source of most negativity that people experience. (That will be covered in the Advanced Topics in Psychic Self Defense course.)

We will cover energy attachments in the relationships we form with others, and talk about how to address inappropriate energy drains, and how these "vampires" are created. Also included will be dealing with emotional residue from other people, especially if one has any form of empathic skill. We will cover grounding, shielding, centering, and also defending children, including how to share with children some of these techniques to help them. Group issues concerning group auras, and families will be covered. This course will teach one how to get rid of and deflect most energy or emotional attachments that are unhealthy and inappropriate. We also will cover how this relates to psychological and sociological theories, as well as connections to physical and emotional health.

There will be an opportunity to do some practical skill work in the course.

This course was designed to not be specific to any religious or spiritual system, but will address terminology and practises used by many spiritual and religious systems. It will also address connections to mental and physical health.

Cost for the course is $47 plus HST , which also covers handouts, and a meditation CD. You will also have access to the audio and video files teaching the course.
