About Returns and Drop Shipping
 

Returns

This is our stated policy on returns.

1. Any item that is past thirty days from the day of sale is considered a final sale. This is a store policy for both the retail store and the online store. Unless there is some kind of glaring manufacturing defect, I cannot get a return on it, so I cannot take it back for you. If you are finding that it does not resonate for you, you can 1. for a book, accept it as a used book for our used book section (for store credit--not redeemable for cash), 2. gift the item to someone else.

2. Online orders over $100 (before shipping) should have free shipping.

3. Online purchases that need to be returned: if you want a no questions asked return on an item, I need to have arrangements made to ship me the item back within 14 days.

4. Shipping damaged items: Many times I get shipping insurance on items I ship to you. If it is damaged, contact me immediately. We will straighten it out.

5. If you need to ship it back to me to get your reimbursement, we will reimburse that shipping cost. We need to be contacted within the 14 days past an online sale from the time of receipt of the order to make a return arrangement. Unauthorized returns will not receive reimbursement for shipping. All returns need to authorized by contacting us.

6. We reimburse only the least expensive shipping costs.

Commentary on Dropshipping

We know that some folks out there try to expand their webstore offering by getting involved in drop shipping. Basically, that means they arrange with the supplier to ship the item directly to you once you purchase it online, sight unseen. While some may claim that "we carefully check out our suppliers", as do I, it is still dangerous to you as a consumer. Here is why.

1. I have never seen the item, so I really have no idea what condition the item you get is in.

2. Who do you take your return to if you are not happy? The online retailer, or the supplier? both? Huh?

Because of this basic problem with this supply chain, and my inability to ensure you personal service, I will not nor get involved in drop shipping. It is a practise that the big guys, like Amazon, and others, do to try and give you the idea that they are better able to serve you, but at what cost? The personal service is lost, and I wish you luck if the object is defective, poorly made, or other-wise unusuable.

So, we do not offer drop shipping, because I find that it interferes in my ability to guarantee your satisifaction.

Everything on the website has been through my hands at least once, even they stuff out of stock. While suppliers do pack items well, and shippers do take some care in handling, sometimes an item comes to me broken. While not often, I know that the many I pay is for a functional, unused item, not a broken or damaged one. Also, if I think the item is not to the standard I am looking for, I may not even sell it.

It is our policy to be involved in the process, as we can enrich your spirit without giving you service in the process. These items should help you transform your life, not bring you grief.
